With talk of a tell-all book and conflict with rapper Meek Mill, Chris Brown wants fans to know his focus is on music. In fact, he wants fans to do the same in focusing on July 3, the release date for his new album “Fortune.”
“July 3rd is all I care about! Don’t let them distract ya teambreezy! the music is real!,” Brown said Wednesday. “Everything else is entertainment!”
As widely reported over the weekend, Chris Brown slammed former B2K singer Raz B for bringing up his name up in a book. Making his displeasure with Raz B public, Brown said “my lawyers are handling it!”
“Lying about somebody in a book is called defamation of character. Keep feeding people bulls**t and ima end up owning you and that book!,” Chris Brown said via Twitter. “RAZ B! God bless… My lawyers are handling it! Lol ima chill.”
In other news, Meek Mill slammed Chris Brown for allegedly taking him off a song because he was involved with Rihanna.
“U took me off ya song cause she let me watch the throne,” Meek Mill said via Twitter over the weekend. “Dreams and Nightmares.”
Brown has since responded saying “she’s a dream chaser! There are a lot of dreamers so she’ll be running forever.”
Drake has also weighed in on Meek Mill and Brown’s words, purportedly about Rihanna.
Nonetheless, as Chris Brown says, it’s all entertainment and the music is real.
Led by the singles “Turn Up The Music” and “Sweet Love,” Brown’s “Fortune” album is due July 3 via RCA.
