Some of the most popular water parks in the state are only a few short hours away by car – but can end up being very expensive, especially for families. Near the center of the city of Miami, lies a fantastic water park that is only a few short minutes away by car, and is significantly more affordable. Grapeland Water Park offers a fun-filled water park experience; it also offers a great opportunity to enjoy the summer in the city.
Families looking for an alternate to enjoy time in the water will be pleasantly surprised by what the water park has to offer. There are four sections of the park, with each section offering age appropriate activities. The best part is, there is something for everyone to do – from toddlers to adults.
The “lazy river” concept has become extremely popular, and can be found water parks across the country. The Buccaneer River Ride gives locals this great experience, providing the inflatable tubes (and life vests for those height is under 42 inches) at no additional charge. At Pirate’s Plunge, you can capture the full water park experience by hitting a water slide. Families with kids under 48 inches in height can head over to Shipwreck Island for a day of fun that will fit them perfectly. Captain’s Lagoon is a large pool where people can swim, splash, or lounge to their hearts’ content.
