A refreshing air mass has overspread northeastern Ohio this morning. High pressure will build across the Akron area today bringing us lots of sunshine and pleasant temperatures. Afternoon highs will top out in the mid to upper 70s.
Tonight will be clear to partly cloudy and seasonably cool. Overnight lows will fall to the upper 40s.
High pressure over the region early on Thursday will slide to the east coast during the afternoon. A secondary shot of cooler air will spread southward across the area. Partly to mostly sunny skies are expected with afternoon highs in the cool upper 60s in Akron.
Low pressure will begin to take shape across the Tennessee Valley Thursday night. Clouds will spread northward across the area overnight, with showers and thunderstorms arriving late.
The low will deepen rapidly while moving northeastward across the state on Friday. This system will bring significant weather to much of northeastern Ohio. Widespread heavy rain is expected along with the potential for severe weather, especially across the eastern counties.
The storm will move to southern Ontario on Saturday. Wrap around moisture will keep showers in the area through the weekend along with windy and cool conditions.
