Houston, TX-native and Latin crossover singer-songwriter Paty Cantú will sing the National Anthem for the 11th annual Subway Jalapeno 250 Powered By Coca-Cola NASCAR Nationwide Series race on Friday night, July 6 at Daytona International Speedway.
Cantú rose to fame as one of the founding members of the successful Mexican pop duo LU. In 2008, she began to pursue a solo career and released her debut album Me Quedo Sola in 2009 and No Eres Tú in 2010.
Cantú, who is a Subway Artista Fresco of the Year, is currently working on her third solo album that will be released in the fall of 2012.
Multi-platinum Grammy-winning superstars Train, whose hits include “Hey Soul Sister” and the smash hit “Drive By” from their new album California 37, will be performing an hour-long pre-race concert prior to the 54th annual Coke Zero 400 Powered By Coca-Cola NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Saturday, July 7 at Daytona International Speedway.
Through a special VIP Ticket Package, fans can get unprecedented access to the 60-minute pre-race concert that will be staged on pit road in the tri-oval area of the “World Center of Racing.” With packages starting at $115, the VIP Ticket Package includes:
- A reserved grandstand ticket for the Coke Zero 400 Powered By Coca-Cola
- Pre-Race/Sprint FANZONE access
- Admission to the VIP viewing area in front of the stage for the pre-race concert by Train.

Train, which consists of Pat Monahan, Scott Underwood and Jimmy Stafford, has earned three Grammys, two Billboard Music Awards for Top Rock Artist and Top Rock Song and an ASCAP Pop Music Award for Song of the Year.
The San Francisco-based group made their first mark on the music industry in 2001 with their double Grammy-winning single “Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me),” which remained on the Top 40 charts for nearly 40 weeks and made their second album Drops of Jupiter a multi-platinum international success. Other early hits include “Meet Virginia” and “Calling All Angels.”
Most recently, Train’s fifth album Save Me, San Francisco was certified platinum with three Billboard Hot 100 singles – “If It’s Love,” “Marry Me” and the Grammy-winning smash hit “Hey, Soul Sister.”
Their latest album California 37 was released this spring and includes the hit singles “Drive By” and “50 Ways to Say Goodbye,” which has already been climbing both the radio and sales charts.
In addition, wine from Save Me, San Francisco Wine Co. will be available at various locations during the Coke Zero 400 Powered By Coca-Cola weekend at Daytona International Speedway.
