Gail’s style is silly, sarcastic, flirty and bitchy, all rolled into one, depending on her mood. She writes truly original material, keeping the audience laughing and engaged. Her energetic style and physicality draws in an audience whether she’s talking about dating or TV commercials. In addition to being a funny comic…Gail is a musician, dancer, actress and, of course, a great bartender. Next Monday, Gail emcees Comics On the Spot’s standup comedy show in Marina del Rey. www.comicsonthespot.com.
Gail graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia with a BA degree in Communications and Theater with emphasis in Broadcasting. She made her parents very happy. Now she’s working to make herself happy. In 2005 she made her comic debut on stage and has never left.
On some late nights at the Comedy Store in Hollywood, you’ll find Gail performing as the drummer with the very popular, very white, almost transparent band Barris Kennedy Overdrive or BKO….
In terms of her comedy, she can be seen regularly at all the hot clubs around town including The Comedy Store, The Improv, Icehouse, The Jon Lovitz Club in Universal City and Flappers in Burbank. She also performs at dives, coffee houses, bowling alleys…..basically wherever they are offering stage time. In June, she performed at Luispalooza at Sonny McClean’s Irish Pub in Santa Monica. In her spare time, Gail produced a pilot, “Backyard Comedy” and has been an Ehow host for www. EHow.com.
Gail posts her gigs on Facebook, but is intimidated by Twitter; she’s jealous of the infinite amount of followers some twitters have accumulated and can’t work that hard to compete. Visit her at www.facebook.com/gailgramlich.
Come and see Gail Gramlich emcee Comics on The Spot at the Warehouse Restaurant on Monday, July 2, at 7 p.m. Tickets are just $5, and there’s no drink minmum. To find out more about the show, visit www.comicsonthespot.com.
