If you were to ask Dwight Howard and he were to answer honestly, he would take this entire season back. Along with the “Indecision” and the ongoing tension between him and now-departed coach Stan Van Gundy, there are plenty of things that he would like to take back. And with a terrible season-ending back injury threatening to affect him in the coming year, Howard can only hope that things will be different when 2012-13 comes around.
And that is why this Orlando Magic-inspired colorway of the adidas adiPower Howard 3 is quite curious. Who knows if this shoe will ever see store shelves if Howard is no longer on the team? Will it all of a sudden change into a purple and gold motif, or maybe a black-on-black look will serve it better? The adiPower Howard 3 definitely looks a lot slimmer than its predecessor and has even an old-school three stripes Superstar appeal to it, save for the camo inner lining.
With adidas reeling a little bit from the lack of both of their signature guys in the playoffs, they could use a bit of a reset as well. Stay tuned for more details on the adiPower Howard 3, including additional colorways and release dates.
