It’s an election year. The pundits are buzzing, and the experts are humming about the new – and withering – political blooms. Boca Raton residents have more interesting news to chat about than political pollen.
Gene Hackman and Robin Wright may star in a local satirical movie about elected officials.
There are some 19 – 22 if you count the sequels – movies that use campaigns or elections as an element of the story.
Of those the most worthy of your review are: ‘Secret Ballot,’ see: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0290823/; ‘The Candidate,‘ see: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0068334/; ‘The Ides of March,’ see: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1124035/; and, ‘Election,’ see: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0126886/.
In hundreds of years the results indicate that we continually elect the wrong persons. Our selections have placed us into deeper debt each year. They ignore our expectations that our elected ‘employees’ will hold themselves to – and maintain – a high standard of care. We have not been able to elect any public-spirited – rather than selfish – personalities for decades, possibly for the entire hundreds years of our government.
It makes sense that audiences are not interested in dramatic versions of elected officials. The actual ones are more corrupting, greedy, stupid, and egotistical than the characters written by skillful scriptwriters or portrayed by the most talented actors.
However, the new movie in pre-production in Boca Raton examines the foibles of power-driven elected officials – and business leaders – but has an unexpected implosion.
It is based upon a provocative manuscript – ‘Our Common-Wealth’ – wherein the author presents solutions that our inept political officials have failed to present – or are aware of – in the past hundreds of years. The author explains how we can pay off our national debt in four years and eliminate – yes, eliminate – the need for income taxes. The author informs us how we can restore the Social Security Fund and create an abundance to provide increases in benefits.
The author provides a clear, precise and accurate explanation of the basis for the solutions set forth in law and presented in a very understandable format.
The author proclaims that citizens have rights, powers and authorities to act and giving their aggregate rights, powers and authorities to elected officials by their votes only gives them custody – not ownership – and our elected ‘employees’ may only act on behalf of citizens. The revelation is breathtaking. It makes you want to sing out: ‘Free at last, free at last.’
After providing solutions, the author explains how citizens can take control – finally – over our elected officials and maintain supervision to prevent them from going astray again.
The manuscript has all the indications it will be a best seller throughout the world. There are only a few copies available until the next printing. To obtain a copy, you may contact: email@example.com.
The movie – ‘Melrose’s Suggestions’ – is based upon the fear that those in power will retaliate against the author. It weaves together the melodrama, intrigue and comedy that results when those who misuse their power launch an attack to take out the author and have their plans blow up in their faces. The climatic scene will have audiences hushed at first and then on their feet cheering!
A member ot the Boca Team stated: ‘The plan is to have Gene Hackman – rather than Kevin Costner – play the lead male role with Robin Wright playing the lead female role. It will be a pleasure to see Gene on he big screen – where he belongs – again.’
‘The goal is to have this movie released during this election year,’ he added.
Ralph Macchio, and Samantha Lockwood may star in another movie to be shot locally. It is based upon the project to prevent abductions and save lives of kids of all ages. See: http://kidnapbusters.com/ for information.
‘The plan is to star Ralph Macchio and Jake Cherry in the male roles, with Samantha Lockwood and Elizabeth Shue in female roles,’ he explained.
While many may be engrossed in – or repulsed by – the election races, these new movies will certainly create more titillating news in our community.
