Greenhill Humane Society, a no-kill shelter located at 88530 Greenhill Road in Eugene, has just been awarded its 6th consecutive “4-Star Rating” from Charity Navigator, an independent charity evaluator.
Four Stars is the highest rating a charity can receive, and puts Greenhill in the top 3% of charities that Charity Navigator evaluates each year.
Greenhill Humane Society received an overall score of 65.12 out of 70 possible points. This includes perfect scores in the areas of accountability and transparency.
What does this mean to you, the citizen? It means that Greenhill is an honest, clear, and genuine charity. It means that Greenhill’s mission to help the animals is true; that is what they are honestly there for.
It also means that if you are considering adopting a new member of your family, consider Greenhill first. The modest fees for adopting pets include spay/neuter, free wellness check-up at a veterinarian, shots and immunizations, as well as the confidence of knowing your new pet was well taken care of before finding his or her “forever home.” I can attest to the fact, having adopted my cat Sam from Greenhill in December 2010.
The “4-Star Rating” Greenhill Humane Society received from Charity Navigator is not just a prestigious award; it’s proof positive that Greenhill is a top shelter, and one that should seriously be considered when choosing your next pet.
