Hilary Alexander attended the Britain Creates 2012: Fashion & Art Collusion at Old Selfridges Hotel earlier today, June 27, 2012 in London, England.
The Fashion Director of the Daily Telegraph, Hilary Alexander, got in touch with her bohemian side, and wore a metallic bronze hued sheath, topped off with an artsy multicolored chiffon duster in turquoise, purple and coral, which matched the coral roses in her hair, worn as a crown, as well as the chunky ethnic necklace with medallions and coral beads.
Hilary’s shoes in hot pink and orange weren’t so bad either… She carried an interesting handbag as well that was a combination of bright yellow and animal print (?) that featured a side tassel.
Princess Beatrice was also attending the event, donning a cream knee-length dress with long sleeves that had a cobalt blue flared cuff, which she accessorized with blue pumps and a glitzy metallic clutch evening bag.
Singer Eliza Doolittle probably turned heads in her greed, red and white ensemble with a skirt that bore dangerously high front slits on either leg, which she paired with an emerald green chiffon top, tied high up right below the bosom.
Another singer, Florence Welch of Florence Welch and the Machine, wore an interesting black dress with a plunging V-neckline and micro-mini sheath underneath to preserve her modesty.
Heather Kerzner wore a purple, blue, grey and black gown with looked suspiciously like a Missoni with its zigzag motif as well as drop earrings and an orange clutch handbag.
British Fashion Council’s (BFC) Caroline Rush, who wore a black, gold and white sleeveless dress with print that looked like a Victorian era printer’s etching.
Britain Creates 2012: Fashion + Art Collusion is a collaboration between leading British fashion designers and visual artists in a ground-breaking series of works commissioned as part of the London 2012 Festival.
