May 3rd was America’s National Day of Prayer and I posted an article here about the proclamation to change it to the National Day of Reason. Since that time there has been much discussion going on over the idea of this happening and how people feel about it.
Some insist it’s no big deal if this were to happen while others feel it’s yet another core value and established principle (this country was founded on) being ripped up by the roots to tear down this once sovereign nation.
Two schools of thought
God himself gave us the ability to think and reason and He commands us to do so. “Come now, and let us reason together,” says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool,” Isaiah 1:18 (NKJV).
God created us to be thinking and reasoning people. The problem is man took this capability of thinking and reasoning given to him by his Creator and used it to turn away from God and to elevate himself. Sinful pride in the heart of man has used it to worship the creation rather than the Creator.
“Because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools… who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen,” Romans 1:21, 25.
Human reasoning apart from God is deadly. It rejects God. This type of reasoning is based on one’s own ideas, opinions, values, feelings and experiences. The sin nature is what guides this school of thought and it says I am my own God and I know what’s best for me. I can determine my destiny.
Godly reasoning is based on faith and belief in God Almighty and this type of reasoning brings life. The Holy Spirit fills the believer and guides this person into reasoning with God rather than reasoning for self and selfishness.
“Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,” Philippians 2:1-5.
Humanism or God’s reasoning
Whichever way you ‘reason’ to think does not change facts. The only truth and reasoning that matters is the truth that is spoken of and documented in the living word of God. No other truth is truth except His. “Let God be true but every man a liar…,” Romans 3:4.
The world is fast approaching the ‘New World Order’ and the globalists are on a fast track to make it happen and it is totally grounded in this mentality of humanism.
