As many of you may know I’m filming my first movie, and the experience has been an interesting one to say the least. My film has gone from a few people knowing about it to over ten thousand followers and now backing from a production company, taking my film out of the Independent category. As I type this, it’s hard to believe the turn of events and how watching other’s achieve their dreams over the years had finally caused me to get up and do something with my own talent.
Years of handwritten short stories turned into scripts, typed on an old typewriter, that then was transferred to an old computer, locked away for years; and finally revamped over the last two years has squeezed out a pretty good series, I hope to share with the world. Being in pre-production indie vs. non indie is a very different beast. You go from doing all the decision making to, having to step back and trust others with your vision, your heart, your baby.
Luckily for me, Ive run into some of the most awesome, down to girl, selfless people, who have carved out time from their very busy lives, to help aide in getting my movie the exposure Ive been dreaming of. Stay tuned as more articles will be coming detailing the crazy roller coaster ride that is film making, from my point of view. Its going to be one hell of a story.
