Black writer Lori Higgins of the Detroit Free Press published a report this morning explaining how “Michigan Merit Exam results released Thursday provided troubling news: The gap [between white and non-white students] keeps widening.”
It’s a meme that Detroit and the entire country have been hearing for years: The achievement gap between white students and non-white students is unacceptable, and therefore, we need to “invest” trillions of dollars in education in order to close this gap. As Higgins reports:
The widening of the gaps means Michigan must maintain its rigorous high school standards and invest more in helping teachers improve their practice through a stronger statewide teacher evaluation system, said Amber Arellano, executive director of the Education Trust-Midwest, a Royal Oak-based nonpartisan education policy and research organization.
But will more education spending and rigorous standards actually close the gap? For reasons that have been explained before, the answer is no. Here’s the biggest reason why: “The average IQ of African Americans is 85; Latinos 89; Whites 103; Asians 106.”
No amount of government spending can change biology, which is why Charles Murray and Richard Herrnstein conclude:
The average genetic IQ of the United States is declining due to the tendency of the more intelligent to have fewer children than the less intelligent, for the generation length to be shorter for the less intelligent, and through the large scale immigration to the United States of those with low intelligence. The United States will become increasingly like Latin America, with high IQ whites and Asians living in fortified enclaves protected by high fences and armed guards from “the menace of the slums” below.
Detroit and the rest of the country have tried the liberal experiment with education for 60 years. We’ve had forced integration. We’ve tripled education spending. All of it has been a failure, and it’s been a failure because the left refuses to acknowledge that race does exist, and that there are distinct anthropological differences as proven by DNA tests.
This isn’t to say that non-white students (specifically black and Hispanic students) can’t better their condition, but there is no way they will ever catch up with white students, or Asian students for that matter. It doesn’t bloody matter that people think this is racist. Facts are facts are facts.
