On the cover of this week’s People magazine Jessica Simpson is seen cradling her new daughter Maxwell Drew.
Still recovering from surgery after giving birth by C-section two weeks early on May 1, Simpson said she is unable to hold Maxwell the way she would like to saying her fiancé Eric Johnson has had to step in.
“It’s the worst if I have to pump and give Eric a bottle to give her,” Simpson told People magazine. “I miss holding her and having that closeness.”
The exclusive photo shoot with People magazine earned the couple a reported $850,000. Simpson has also signed a deal with Weight Watchers however those ads won’t start for awhile since taking care of Maxwell Simpson said is a full-time job.
“From how I sleep to what I think about, Maxwell has definitely taken over everything,” Simpson said.”We stare at her all the time. We can’t get enough!”
People’s assistant managing editor, Kate Coyne said on the Today show Wednesday morning that Simpson isn’t thinking about anything else except her daughter right now.
“She is really content just to be with her little girl,” Coyne said. “She’s too happy to even think about a scale.”
