Kids love pizza so many families have pizza night every week. For our family, Fridays have been pizza nights for as long as I can remember.
Sometimes we make homemade pizzas, sometimes we heat up frozen pizzas, and sometimes we either pick up pizza or have it delivered from Domino’s, Little Caesar’s, Pizza Hut, or Papa John’s.
Since kids enjoy pizza so much, there’s no need to save pizza for once a week. Nearly every time I travel to visit my family, we make a trip to Pizza Hut for their weekday lunch buffet.
For the kids, this trip is one of the highlights of the visit. We go as a big group so the cousins can all spend time together while we siblings enjoy each other’s company.
Pizza Hut, www.pizzahut.com, has locations across the country. You can look up your location on their website, see their hours and menu, and place a carry out order.
In Lynchburg, the Pizza Hut at 2413 Memorial Avenue near the library is the only location with a pizza buffet.
In addition to pizza, the buffet includes a salad bar, pasta, regular bread sticks, dessert pizza, and dessert bread sticks.
In my family, the kids and adults all love the dessert pizza, offered in apple and cherry at the Lynchburg Pizza Hut.
At the Pizza Hut in Kansas, where I ate this week with my family, apple dessert pizza was the only option.
Several other Lynchburg locations offer a pizza buffet or an Italian buffet which includes pizza.
Cici’s Pizza is located in Candler’s Station and offers pizza buffet all day every day. In addition to regular pizzas, Cici’s also offers salad, pasta, and several dessert choices.
Original Italian Pizza, also known as OIP, is located in the Graves Mill Center in Forest. OIP offers a lunch buffet every day which includes many pasta selections, sausage and meatballs, pizza, breadsticks, and salad bar.
Milano’s Italian Restaurant, located at 4327 Boonsboro Road, offers a lunch buffet which includes pizza and many Italian favorites. Salad and breadsticks are also included.
Some other favorite Lynchburg locations for dine-in pizza include:
- Monte Carlo, 3230 Old Forest Road
- Upper Crust, 102 Hexham in Wyndhurst
- Ledo Pizza, 120 Simons Run
- Rivermont Pizza, 2496 Rivermont Avenue
- Waterstone Pizza, 1310 Jefferson Street
- Vinny’s Italian Restaurant, 7001 Timberlake Road
You can’t eat pizza every day, although I wish you could. Add a pizza night or pizza lunch buffet to your plans this summer. Your kids will thank you.
