Palmer’s Friday Flingbegins at 11 a. m. You will find it right in downtown Palmer across the street from the museum. It features local arts and crafts. Talkeetna’s Live at Five! Concert Series will be held at the Talkeetna Village Park every Friday evening through the summer. Bring your own chair or ground cover and enjoy the music. Sponsers include Talkeetna Chamber of Commerce, local businesses and the Denali Arts Council. These live concerts will happen every weekend until the end of summer.
Nugen’s Ranch will have its annual fun day on June 2nd, beginning at 8:a.m. Check out the ranch in its new location. Activities include a community picnic, children’s games, silent auction, and a DJ. Nugen’s Ranch is at 26731 Point MacKenzie. Call 376-4534 for more info.
Members of the Susitna Rotary Club will be cleaning up the Little Susitna River on Saturday, June 2nd. The fun begins at 8 a.m. at the bridge on Schrock Road. After the group shoves off to float 18 miles to the Parks Highway, they will stop along the way picking up trash. A barbeque picnic will be held at the finish line. Red Shirt Lake Trail Runwill be held on June 2nd. Sign up at the picnic overlook at the Nancy Lake Recreation Area, Mile 6, Nancy Lake Parkway. The Run takes place from 9 a. m. to 1 p. m.
Country Legends Radio’s, 3rd Annual Ride For The Cure that benefits the MS Society takes place on Sunday, June 3rd. Gather at the Alaska State Fair Grounds at 10 a. m.
