It’s finally here. After many requests, The Pageant Theatre is bringing Wes Anderson’s newest film, “Moonrise Kingdom,” to Chico, starting Friday, June 29.
Admission to The Pageant Theatre is seven dollars for adults; five dollars for kids and seniors; five dollars for the Sunday matinee; and three dollars for Cheap Skate Monday.
“Moonrise Kingdom” will show on Friday and Saturday, June 30, at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m.; Sunday, July 1, at 2:00 and 6:30 p.m.; and Monday, July 2, through Thursday, July 5, at 6:30 p.m. The doors will open 30 minutes prior to showtimes.
Starring Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Jason Schwartzman, Frances McDormand, Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, and many other actors, “Moonrise Kingdom” is set on an island off the coast of New England in the summer of 1965. A young boy and a young girl meet and decide to run away together into the wilderness. As the authorities set out a search party for the two, a storm begins to brew off the shore, and the peaceful, island community is turned upside down in more ways than one.
The Pageant Theatre is located at 351 East 6th Street in Chico.
