The Palmer House, in conjunction with The Anti-Cruelty Society is hosting The Pampered Pooches Doggie Tea Party on Thursday, June 7th from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. This lucky dog spectacular will help to benefit the other not-so-fortunate dogs by raising funds to help them become what they only dream of becoming. The event is being held at none other than The Palmer House Hilton Empire Room, 17 East Monroe Street in Chicago.
Not only will the pooches be treated to a posh day, but their humans will, too. There will be champagne to sip while the doggies munch on a lovely gourmet multi-course lunch featured by none other than Chef Joseph Giannini of Urban Out Sitters. All furry friends will be in the spotlight and be treated as the superstars that they are.
There will be an opportunity for all humans to take away a professional photo featuring them with their pampered pooch. What a fabulous token takeaway gift! This event costs a mere $30 and all proceeds from the benefit will go to the animals of The Anti-Cruelty Society and to help the Society continue their pet education and humane pet practices.
City Clerk, Susana Mendoza conducted her first-ever “Dog Distinction” promotion and the five finalists will be in attendance at the Palmer House for this grandiose Tea Party extravaganza. Thanks to Chicago’s City Clerk’s initiative, there was an increase of 122% in dog registrations. The finalists were chosen from amongst all of the registrants at random by the public. The actual winner, Wilma, a chocolate lab will also be at the party.
Susana Mendoza, being a dog lover, will also make an appearance. She will lightly touch on the importance of registering your dog and she will also welcome Wilma and the other finalists to the event.
