For all you Anglophiles – The UK is in full ER II mode celebrating Queen Elizabeth’s 60th year as ruling monarch. The Diamond Jubilee’s Central Weekend is coming up this Saturday, and the four day holiday will be chock-a-block with celebrations, parades, banquets, fetes and dutiful pageantry commemorating The Queen.

*Queen Elizabeth is second to only Queen Victoria as the United Kingdom’s longest ruling monarch. Queen Victoria ruled a total of 63 years from 1837-1901.
*The Queen has owned more than 30 corgis during her reign, starting with Susan who was a present for her 18th birthday in 1944. Many have been direct descendants of the original Susan. The Queen currently owns three corgis – Monty, Willow and Holly.
