The search continued Tuesday for the Oceanside diver that went missing on Memorial Day during a scuba-diving trip to La Jolla Shores.
According to a FOX5 report, searchers were still looking for 45-year-old Jeffrey May, who went missing after informing his wife that he was going to go diving on the holiday.
May, whose vehicle was found in a nearby parking lot, reportedly rented a scuba tank along with some diving weights, however no one in a diving group that he was supposed to meet up with said they saw him.
A search on Monday turned up nothing, as rescuers from lifeguard agencies, the San Diego Police Department, The Coast Guard, the federal maritime agency and San Diego Harbor Police looked for May.
According to May’s wife, her husband has been scuba-diving for some 25 years, although he was not experienced with diving at La Jolla Shores.
