The 4 of wands is about receiving recognition for your achievements, and about marking the milestones of your life. It is time to receive your congratulations. You’ve earned it. You deserve it. Following your impulses, your brilliance, your ideas, has paid off. You didn’t listen to anybody (external or internal) who told you what you cannot or should not do. You’ve listened to your own inner-guidance system and it has lead you to a very good place.
You don’t have to be so humble. Sure, it is best to not be too full of yourself, but be open to the compliments others have for you. Appreciate your own talents and abilities, and be happy that others are noticing them too. Be glad they are willing to express appreciation.
Celebrate! If nobody will celebrate with you, celebrate by yourself for yourself. It is important to mark milestones on your journey. They represent your achievements and your accomplishments. It may be that these are entirely invisible to anybody but you, but how does that matter? It doesn’t. This is your life. This is your journey, and nobody else’s. You are a unique human being, and as such you know what constitutes an achievement to you. Celebrate these achievements! Reflect on where you have been and where you are. Offer a toast to yourself. You richly deserve it.
Dream. Dream big! Go ahead and set your expectations high. Why not? There is nothing you can not accomplish, so why not pursue high aspirations? You are going to have reasons to celebrate, and when you do, don’t hold back. Celebrate from deep down in that primordial spark of your truest self. The 4 of wands invites you to set your sights on a far horizon and begin the journey towards it. You know what the results will be. You know you will succeed.
Feeling down? Feeling depressed? Set a goal and work towards that goal. Each step towards that goal is a step out of the depression. Before you know it, that depression is no longer relevant. You begin to see it for all it ever was- a temporary circumstance-induced state of being. Is it Intrinsic to your true nature? No. It is only fleeting. It is only passing. It is likely that you have been doing this for awhile now. This card reminds you that it is not for nothing. You are making progress. Keep doing what you are doing. It is good.
When the 4 of wands comes up for you in a reading, consider it an invitation to reflect on your accomplishments. Appreciate what you have done. How about others? How are they doing? Have you offered congratulations to a colleague for their achievements? Don’t hold back on that. Let them know their work is noticed and appreciated. Just as you will appreciate this, so will they.
