Tim Curry had a massive stroke Thursday night and is now recovering at his home in Los Angeles, Daily Mail reports May 24. The “Rocky Horror Picture Show” star is 67-years-old and is said by his agent, Marcia Hurwitz, to be “doing great.”
Sources have denied Curry’s stroke has made it difficult for him to speak.
“He absolutely can speak and is recovering at this time in great humor,” Hurwitz said.
Tim Curry got his break when he starred as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the musical and launched a successful film and stage career.
In 2011 Curry was unable to play a role in “Rosencrantz and Gildenstern are Dead” in London due to ill health. He was reportedly fighting asthma attacks after a chest infection.
Tim Curry is one of entertainment’s most beloved British character actors. He’s also been seen in “Clue,” “Annie,” “Legend” and as Pennywise the Clown in Stephen King’s “It.”
