Manchester City looked to have wasted little time pondering their next move after the clubs failed attempt to land Lille OSC and Belgian super starlet Eden Hazard.
The hotly tracked 21-year-old revealed yesterday, May 29th, 2012 that he would indeed be moving to the English Premier League.
However, to the disappointment of both Manchester City and Manchester United the young playmaker has chosen to join Chelsea after the clubs recent UEFA Champions League triumph.
City are now reportedly set to turn their full focus on Manchester United target Wesley Sneijder to fill the same roll that Hazard would have filled at Eastlands. TalkSport has claimed that the Citizens will have to wait until after the 2012 European Championships while Sneijder is busy with Holland international duty, but they are then thought to be hoping for scheduled talks at the San Siro.
The Citizens are likely to have a battle on their hands for the current Inter Milan star as Manchester United have been tracking him since last summer, and their desire for new talented midfielders have move beyond wanting, to needing and Sir Alex Ferguson may be willing make a big offer to get his target.
